British Subject Passport holders do require a Visitor Visa to enter Canada.

Following a recent increase in the number of tourist being refused admission to board their
planes at UK airports, we wish to point out that British Subject passport holders do need to
obtain a Visitor Visa prior to travel when taking a holiday in Canada.

Visitor Visas can be obtained through the Canadian High Commission in London at the

This office is open to walk-in enquiries, Monday-Friday, 8am-11am and no appointment is
required. Please visit the their website for information regarding documentation required
to be taken and processing fees.

British Citizen passport holders are not affected by this and do not require a Visitor Visa to
enter Canada (just return or onward air tickets and a passport that is valid for the duration
of their visit plus at least 24 hours after their return date.
